Meeting of Interest: Wednesday, December 1             4 pm      Drama Classroom

All students planning to audition for the winter play should meet with Mrs. Stark to talk about the play, receive audition information, check out reading scripts and use classroom resources to find a monologue (if needed) for auditions.

An audition form will be available so that students can have them filled out prior to auditions.  Students are encouraged to peruse the family calendar with parents so that all conflicts can be recorded on the form.

Students must be able to adapt their commitments to the rehearsal schedule with few exceptions.  The conflict forms help the director plan the rehearsal schedule around conflicts that involve several or many students.

Students should sign up for one of the following audition sessions.  The sign-up will be on the Call Board outside the drama classroom at South and in the main office at SCII.

December 7th 4 – 6 Drama Classroom

December 8th 4 – 6 Drama Classroom

December 9th 4 – 6 Drama Classroom

December 10th 4 – 6       Callback in the Drama Classroom, if necessary.

Preparation for Auditions:

Students should have a one to one and a half minute dramatic monologue (memorized, if possible, but not required), prepared for their audition session.

Note to Students:

While I thought I would have a read through of the play before auditions, I have decided that I would make scripts available instead.  They should be in early next week.  Many students are already reading the play.  I must have all my scripts back to me by the first day of auditions….no exceptions!  See me if you have any questions.

Offensive language in the play will be adapted.
